2009 NFL Draft This Weekend

The Seattle Seahawks have the 4th pick in the first round of this year’s NFL Draft and speculation is high on who will be selected.  A quick scan of eight cyberspace mocks has the Seahawks selecting one of six players: USC QB Mark SanchezTexas Tech WR Michael Crabtree, Virginia OT Eugene Monroe, Georgia RB Knowshon MorenoBaylor OT Jason Smith, or Georgia QB Matthew Stafford.

Ruskell has seen all these mocks, and another that is much more pertinent – the one the Seahawks’ draft brain trust already has conducted, and will continue to tweak.  Ruskell does admit that the Seahawks’ arduous evaluation process has allowed them to compile a list of four players that could produce the pick at No. 4.

One thing is for sure – Ruskell is certain the Seahawks will emerge with a good player, and will use proven principles to insure that it happens. Follow the action all weekend at Seahawks Draft Central including:

Jones Soda Goes Off the Grid in Recognition of Earth Day

On April 22nd, 2009 Jones Soda went off the electrical grid with help from the Seattle Seahawks.

Seahawks Safety, Jamar Adams, Blitz and the Sea Gals helped power the Jones Soda office by riding stationary bicycles. The pedaling of these bikes powered computers, phones and the Jones Soda network for a full day… the Seahawks and Jones Soda helped turn sweat and calories into electrical power, it wasn’t easy but a change they were willing to make to give back on Earth Day.  Read More
