Featuring manga/anime style cartoon animation for a young audience, Case Closed: One Truth Prevails is due for release on the Nintendo Wii on 1st May 2009 by Nobilis and Ascaron Entertainment.

In spite of his new name, Conan fears the men who drugged him will discover his real identity and return to kill him and his best friend, Ran Mouri. To help counter this threat, Conan forms a Junior Detective League with his friends who wear badges as a symbol of their unity, which also double-up as walkie-talkies. However, they are often not taken seriously and as a result players must inspect every clue and possible lead thoroughly.

Players guide Conan on his quest to find clues about the origins and workings of the secret ‘Black Organisation.’ By using special gadgets such as a voice changing bow tie, players disguise Conan as Kogoro Mouri, a former police officer turned incompetent private investigator. Information gathered from the clients and cases of Kogoro must then be examined to source possible leads to infiltrate the evil group.

A breakthrough is finally made when Conan, Kogoro and Ran board a cross country train to take a break from work. Also on the train are two mysterious men dressed in black, their appearances triggering Conan’s vague memory of the night he was drugged. However, the men are carrying enough firepower to blow the train apart and so players must help Conan save the train before it’s too late.

The free-to-play title brings MMO fans across Europe into a universe of epic fantasy and fierce conflict with a deep and captivating storyline. Zu Online – Come Create Your Guild Columns

Posted: 23 Apr 2009 12:17 PM PDT

Zu OnlineIn Zu Online we have a very diverse community that gather from many different places on the planet to play. This is one of the things that make Zu so unique and such a joy to play, however this also means that many guild mates are unable to meet and communicate with one another due to time differences. But here at IGG we are trying to change that. We’re pleased to offer players an opportunity to create a guild column for their guild members to communicate.

To create a guild column, players must submit an application. To submit an application, players need to create a thread in the Guilds Base in the forum. The application must be submitted by one of the guild members. We suggest the Guild Lord submit it.

The other guild members must reply to the thread and also apply to create a guild column. Half of the guild members are required to apply by replying to the thread.

We will check out the guild data, including the total number of guild members and then decide to reject or approve the application.

If the application is approved, the player that applied will become the moderator of their guild column. The moderator will have the right to accept and/or decline other guild member’s applications to join the column, but the moderator also has the obligation to manage the forum ethically. The moderator is also able to transfer their jurisdiction and obligations to others by contacting our forum administrator, Eva1210.

Note: If there are no new posts for 14 continuous days, the guild column will be closed.

Velvet Assassin video game
SouthPeak Games announced today that Velvet Assassin for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and Windows PC has gone gold and will be shipping next week.

“World War II is such a common theme amongst games in the last ten years, but it’s truly rare to find a title that brings gamers into the visceral reality of what happened,” said Richard Iggo, Vice President of Marketing at SouthPeak Games. “Velvet Assassin excels in its ability to make players feel something more than just gameplay.”

Velvet Assassin brings players into the world of Violette Summer, a British secret agent behind enemy lines in multiple hot-spots during World War II. Players are introduced to a bed-ridden Violette as she slips in and out of fevered dreams, reliving her most poignant missions through her memories. With no outside support, Violette must sneak her way into heavily guarded Nazi strongholds, assassinate high-level targets and even deliver cyanide to fellow operatives caught in the field. Using true-to-life weapons and tactics, Violette is one of the few people standing between the Nazi war machine and total domination. Velvet Assassin asks players to focus on the reality behind these clandestine acts, with no technological marvels, no special weapons, just your wits and the equipment on hand.

Velvet Assassin will be shipping to retailers on April 30th, 2009.

Celebrate Earth Day by Enjoying the Great Outdoors with the GPS-Based Game, Get a Taste for the Fun with the Live-Action Trailer

The Retronyms announced today the release of their new app Seek ‘n Spell for the iPhone 3G. Seek ‘n Spell transforms iPhone gaming from a solo, sedentary experience to an active and social outdoor contest.

Combining real outdoor spaces with virtual letters, Seek ‘n Spell is a word game where you and your friends compete to gather letter tiles and create words to score the most points. Want to see it in action? The Seek ‘n Spell trailer is available for download below.

With Seek ‘n Spell, players gather in a park or other large outdoor space with a clear view of the sky and activate the app. Seek ‘n Spell detects all the players present and scatters letter tiles across the playing field. Players then race one another around the field to capture up to 10 letter tiles at a time, which they use to create words. Coveted gold tiles will appear randomly on the field, earning players a doubled score when used in words. Points are earned based on the length of the words players spell, and the player with the most points when time runs out wins.

“The GPS capabilities of the iPhone 3G offer new gaming opportunities, and we’re taking full advantage of them with Seek ‘n Spell,” said Dan Walton, co-founder of Retronyms. “We are using the GPS as an innovative game controller, where your actual location on Earth drives the gameplay. We’re releasing Seek ‘n Spell on Earth Day to celebrate our planet and encourage iPhone users to get outside and play.”

Swords and Soldiers – the mighty Chinese – Ronimo Games reveals the third faction in Nintendo Wii video game

Posted: 23 Apr 2009 01:28 PM PDT

Swords and SoldiersJust a few weeks before release of the game, the third faction of Swords and Soldiers, the Chinese is finally revealed!

At long last the veil of secrecy is lifted! Emerging as the third contender for world domination is the CHINESE EMPIRE! Ruled by their child emperor, the Chinese care little for Viking barbecue feasts, or Aztec Vegetable growing contests.

The Child Emperor tasks his subjects with gathering the the most exquisite toys from the corners of the world. Of course this will lead the Chinese empire onto a collision course with the other two factions.

To introduce the first Chinese unit: The Rocketeer
Strapping giant firework rockets to your back might not seem like a brilliant idea, but the Rocketeers will do anything to satisfy their emperor’s appetite for new toys. Extremely volatile, the Rocketeers are always willing to deliver their beautifull but deadly payload to the opposition. As well as offering a ranged attack, Rocketeers deal damage with final breath, and always go out with a bang, giving the whole battlefield a festive glow!

To introduce the first Chinese spell: Arrow rain

To confront the sturdy Vikings and the fast moving Aztecs, the Chinese have improved their arrows with some burning fire. Galaxy Online – Attention on Fleet Arrangement

Posted: 23 Apr 2009 01:16 PM PDT

Galaxy Online
As battles rage and new rifts erupt, the legend of David and Goliath is repeated and replayed across Galaxy Online. Superior numbers, vast warships, massive firepower – all can be reduced to nothing by poor fleet arrangement. If you want to take on a larger enemy, or you’re worried by more agile and cunning opponents, you should pay attention to these:

1. Only the ships built based on the same blueprint can be put on the same grid, so do not easily delete your blueprints.

2. The main attack power should be well protected by defense ships. Always take sufficient supplies in case of a protracted war.

2. At most 30,000 ships can be put on each grid and each fleet can consist of the maximal 270,000 ships.

3. When attacked, all the ships on the grid can work. But, when attacking, there is a limitation of maximum number of ships on the grid to work:

For Hulls activated from Personal Science:

Assault Crafts: At most 1100 ships on each grid can work when attacking

Cruisers: At most 1000 ships on each grid can work when attacking

Battleships: At most 900 ships on each grid can work when attacking

Industrial Ships: At most 1000 ships on each grid can work when attacking

Recon Ships: At most 1000 ships on each grid can work when attacking

The advanced hulls activated from Faction and Corps Science have different restrictions. For example, as a popular Assault Craft activated from Faction Science, Sentinel Command Ship-Dark Dragon only allows for 1000, and Allied Space Forces Flagship from Corps limits the number to 850.
