Did You Know?

The Denver Nuggets crushed the Hornets 121-63 in New Orleans to take a 3-1 series lead Monday night. Denver’s 58-point win ties the 1956 Minneapolis Lakers for the largest margin of victory in an NBA playoff game. Never before in the league’s 63-season history had a team won a regular-season game or a playoff game on the road by a 58-point margin, according to the Elias Sports Bureau. The most decisive regular-season victory by a visiting team is Seattle’s 136-80 win at Houston on Dec. 6, 1986. The previous record for margin of victory for a road team in the playoffs was the Lakers’ 126-70 win against Golden State on April 21, 1973.
